Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital
On October the 8th 2017, a devastating fire struck the city of Santa Rosa. A little over a year later, the area was hit with yet another fire. Despite evacuating patients, the emergency department at Santa Rosa Memorial treated about 90 people as a result of the fires.
At the beginning of February 2018, I contacted Rolascreen a Privacy Screen manufacturer in Los Angeles they had a very innovative Portable Privacy Screen that looked like it could work for our Emergency Room at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
We agreed to purchase some of their screens (portable versions) and then they asked if they could donate a further screen free of charge as their way “of assisting” during this crisis. We chose designs from their extensive Art Library.
The screens work well, they can be moved from place to place, they bend to create L shapes, and are extremely stable. The images really pop, and we get very favorable responses from staff, but more importantly from our patients. The screens move quickly into place and are extremely easy to clean. They’re nothing like the flimsy curtains and screens we used in the past. We are using them for hallway beds and just about anywhere we need privacy.
This was such a good experience that a few months later we ordered even more screens. It’s good to see an American manufacturer that takes care of its customers.

California Cybersecurity Institute
The California Cybersecurity Institute is on a mission to protect California from future cyber threats. Our live, immersive training environments and unique research opportunities are educating the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.
We placed an order for ten 6’3” height portable screens. We decided to use the screens for the California Cyber innovation challenge. At that point we did not expect to see the screens for another 4 weeks, but we needed for the challenge virtually immediately.
Within 3 days they had extra panels printed at their facility and because they were only a few hours drive from our facility, they delivered and installed the screens within 1 week. It’s good to know that a company cares about their client’s needs enough to go out of their way to make sure they could help us with our event and to make sure we are happy with their product. I look forward to using our Rolascreens again for our next training event.
